Cellulite Problem
For many women, the term cellulites conjures up a certain dread for this problem of fatty tissue tends to favour the abdomen, thighs and bottom of a considerable percentage of females. Although rarer, men can also suffer with cellulites which are normally seen as areas that appear to be a lighter shade than the rest of the skin. Normally, with good circulation, a person will have smooth skin layers, but when there is fluid in the layers, the stored fats, and other chemical toxins do not get flushed out of the system and become trapped within the skin. Over time this fatty tissue hardens and produces what we call cellulites easily identified as those areas giving an ‘orange peel’ effect to the skin.
There are many factors involved in how the cellulites will appear on any given individual as their weight, lifestyle and also their genetics all play an important role. Strangely there are different types of cellulites and being overweight is only one of the causes of cellulite as active and fit women can also suffer and it is found in the muscles of active women such as dancers and athletes. It’s the hard or solid cellulites that cause problems and are hard to remove as they are attached directly to the muscles. Soft cellulites, however, are much more obvious and may even appear to sag from the skin surface and whist they occur in larger, muscle areas, they are usually easily removed.
For women, who are he most likely candidates for cellulites, their appearance can start from as early as 14 years of age and will gradually get worse as they age Often, cellulites occur because a woman has started taking the contraceptive pill or has just given birth and even people who have suffered from injuries can develop cellulites.

Having the correct diet and plenty of exercise is still believed to be the best way to control cellulites as exercise will improve the circulation which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. Although all types exercise can help, it is the diet that needs to be more specific; one that is detoxifying and contains plenty of fruit and vegetables. Whole grain foods are also greatly recommended but foods that should be avoided include regular favorites such as coffee and soft drinks.
Although so far unproven, it is considered by some that spicy foods may also help contribute to the formation of cellulites. The build up of toxins in the body can also be avoided by not drinking alcohol or smoking. Although a low-fat diet is not required, some dieticians recommend reducing the consumption of fatty foods that are eaten as these are more difficult to digest and to flush out of the system plus fats also contribute in the enlargement of the cellulites.
Proprietary cellulite creams are often successful in the treatment and prevention of cellulites but presently they cannot completely eradicate the tissues. By using alpha-hydroxyl acid cream, the cellulites are made to look as if they have disappeared by making the skin more elastic whereas all the cream has done is mask the cellulites. Removing toxins and fat from the body by using water therapy which also helps with digestion and circulation, has the added benefit of aiding in the removal of cellulites.
