Cellulite Solutions
The prime locations for cellulites, which is fatty tissue, are usually around the thighs, buttocks and stomach on women. Although rarer, men can also suffer with cellulites which are normally seen as areas that appear to be a lighter shade than the rest of the skin. When there is fluid in the layers of skin, it becomes a problem because stored fats and other toxins become trapped and do not get flushed out unlike a person with good circulation who will have smooth skin. These tissues harden and thicken, producing cellulites, bumpy lines in the skin often referred to as the ‘orange peel’ effect.
There are many factors involved in how the cellulites will appear on any given individual as their weight, lifestyle and also their genetics all play an important role. Because there are different types of cellulites, even active and fit individuals can suffer with them even if they are not overweight, including the likes of dancers and runners because the cellulites are found contained in the muscle itself. The cellulites that cause the most problems are the hard or solid types because they attach themselves to the muscles and often affect more active persons. Soft cellulites, however, are much more obvious and may even appear to sag from the skin surface and whist they occur in larger, muscle areas, they are usually easily removed.
It is women who suffer the most from cellulite and this can start anytime after their 14th birthday and will usually get worse with age. The contraceptive pill has been linked with acquiring cellulites, as has giving birth and suffering from an injury.

Exercise and diet are still almost uniformly believed to be the best way to eradicate cellulites because exercise is particularly effective at improving the circulation and usually helps reduce the appearance of the cellulites. Although all types exercise can help, it is the diet that needs to be more specific; one that is detoxifying and contains plenty of fruit and vegetables. Try to eat more wholegrain foods but avoid wherever possible the likes of coffee and soft fizzy drinks.
Although so far unproven, it is considered by some that spicy foods may also help contribute to the formation of cellulites. The same cannot be said for those other two toxin laden commodities, alcohol and smoking which should be avoided. Although a low-fat diet is not required, some dieticians recommend reducing the consumption of fatty foods that are eaten as these are more difficult to digest and to flush out of the system plus fats also contribute in the enlargement of the cellulites.
Although they cannot completely get rid of cellulites, cellulite creams are quite successful in treating and hiding cellulite. The creams work by making the skin more elastic and contain alpha-hydroxyl acid which doesn’t actually remove the cellulite but helps to hide it. Water, whether drunk or in therapy form is good for the skin as it removes toxins and fats from the system, improving the circulation and digestion, effectively rendering the cellulites less visible.
