Cellulite Workout

The ‘orange peel’ effect seen on some people’s thighs and buttocks are fat cells beneath the skin and is known by the general term ‘cellulite’. Cellulite is not a condition confined to those people who carry excess weight but can be seen quite often on even sporting women who do not carry to much extra weight.

Fat beneath the surface of the skin pushes against connective tissue causing it to give that dimpled look referred to as cellulite. Health experts have been trying to discover the cause of cellulite for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.

What is certain though is that the older you become the greater the likelihood of cellulites forming as the elastin and collagen, that also stops wrinkles, becomes less effective. Cellulites is classified as a problem caused by hormones and is why men rarely suffer with the condition as fat in their body is consistent throughout.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel badly about having cellulite as most women suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. Many factors make up the build-up of cellulites which range from the sex of the person to their age, genetic make-up, skin type, skin thickness all have a part to play in its formation.

There are still no conclusive findings that can pinpoint the cause of cellulite build-up but one thing for sure is that technology has not yet devised a one- time-cure-all’ miracle potion, treatment or medicine that can easily eradicate cellulites completely. Where cellulites removal massage is offered at a clinic, all that is done is deep tissue massage which just masks the affect so it cannot be seen as readily.

Other treatments involve liposuction (to remove fats) and mesotheraphy (injection of drugs into cellulite) which is expensive and out of reach of the majority of women. These known remedies offer only temporary relief and are likewise not advisable as liposuction for example should only be used to remove deep fats and is not very effective in the removal of cellulite.

For people who are prone to cellulite, there are no magic cellulites treatments for selective cellulite removal but there are now a number of creams on the market which are designed to help hide the effect cellulite brings. Although no treatment can really help, adjustments to lifestyle habits seem to be a better option which means adopting a healthy diet, with regular physical activity and an overall reduction in weight.

In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help lower the level of damaging toxins too.
