Exercise To Reduce Cellulite
A curse to many women, cellulite is formed close to the skin surface and produces a number of wrinkled fat cells intermixed with the connective tissue and produces that strange ‘orange peel’ effect most of us have witnessed. It would be unfair to say this is a condition exclusive to overweight women because that couldn’t be further from the truth and can affect even slim women.
Just below the surface of the skin in the thighs and buttocks region, areas of fat collect and force themselves against the tissue creating a puckered look to the surface of the skin. Health experts have been trying to discover the cause of cellulite for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.
Two components of skin wrinkles that decrease with age are elastin and collagen, both of which may be responsible for the increase of cellulite as women age. The condition is almost exclusive to women and has been attributed to hormonal changes that take place as a woman gets older as the fat in the thighs and buttocks of men is the same as fat found in other parts of their bodies.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel badly about having cellulite as most women suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. There are several factors that contribute to cellulite build-up: genetics probably, gender, the amount of excess fats in your body, age is a major factor and the thickness of the skin are all instrumental to the presence of cellulite over the thighs and how visible it is, even at a distance.
As the reasons for cellulites formation is still a mystery, no complete treatment has been devised to rid the condition from people who suffer with is badly even though there are many cellulite creams that claim to rid someone of it. Where cellulites removal massage is offered at a clinic, all that is done is deep tissue massage which just masks the affect so it cannot be seen as readily.
Another technique used to remove cellulite, but not that successfully, is liposuction which is used to remove excess fat in the body but a method called mesotherapy which injects chemicals into the fat cells is still too expensive for most people. Liposuction is rarely that effective with surface based fat like cellulite and is more proficient at removing deeper fats from the body which are not trapped in the cells but none of these treatments offer anything but short term relief only.
Unfortunately at the moment the isn’t a magic formula for cellulite removal and it may be some time before it is found although some companies claim that cellulite removal cream is effective but this seems to be better at hiding the effects. The most successful regimes so far are to adopt regular exercise, a good nutritious low-fat diet plan and reduce extra weight where possible.
In addition, increasing the intake of water will help cleanse the system and flush out damaging toxins plus smokers should stop smoking or at least reduce it which will also be beneficial as smoking impacts negatively on the capillaries in the skin and reducing stress will help lower the level of damaging toxins too.
