Exercises To Get Rid Of Cellulite

The problem of losing cellulite is the plight of many women who have tissue containing fat that has the appearance of the surface of an orange. Although not life threatening, losing cellulite is the aim of any woman (or man) that sufferers with it and of course it tends to get worse with age. Cellulite treatments are plentiful but losing cellulite is not easy and once you have removed it, certain aspects of your lifestyle must change to ensure it doesn’t return.

Although men can suffer with cellulite, it is mainly found on women, usually at the back of their thighs, tummy and buttocks because of differences in the way the muscle and tissues are distributed. Men generally tend to have lower amounts of body fat, whilst women have higher amounts. Estrogen, the female hormone is also partly to blame as one of the causes of cellulite because it is an aid in the storage of fat needed by the woman for menstruation, when she is pregnant and producing breast milk.

There are other causes of cellulite including being overweight, although this is not a direct reason but it can make the cellulite worse. During pregnancy, a woman’s body goes through a number of changes during which time there is an increase in fat deposits, overall weight gain and the retention of water.

Most experts agree that the best way of losing cellulite is a low calorie balanced diet with food that has high fiber content and to increase the amount of exercise taken. One simple cellulite treatment is the use of a tanning bed because the darker the skin the less noticeable the cellulite is. It is still thought that the most common reason why some women are more prone to having cellulite is a hormonal imbalance so losing cellulite with plenty of exercise under these circumstances may not be enough. However, there are other cellulite treatments you can use such as massaging the affected areas, water therapy to flush the system, creams that burn the cellulite and of course giving up the cigarettes.

For those individuals who are serious about losing cellulite a technique called liposuction can be used where small incisions are made in the skin and the cellulite is literally sucked out of the muscles. The fatty deposits are massaged with rollers which combined with the suction, helps to break them down so that the trapped water and toxins are removed. This is one of the more elaborate and expensive methods of losing cellulite and not a form of cellulite treatment every woman wants to undergo.

Although cellulite is not an illness or medical condition it can be an indication of an unhealthy lifestyle in the individual affected. So once the cause of cellulite has been ascertained in a person then it should be easy to work out what cellulite treatment will be the most efficient in losing cellulite permanently.
