Thigh Cellulite

Cellulites are normally but not exclusively found on women and are tissues containing fat usually around the thighs, stomach and buttocks. Men can have cellulites too although they are usually whiter or several shades lighter than their normal skin color. A person with good circulation will have an even and smooth layer of skin but in a person with cellulites, fats become stored, along with other toxin, under the skin when under normal circumstances they would be flushed out. The tissues with the stored fats and toxins become hard over time producing the bumpy ‘orange peel’ effect called cellulites.

How these cellulites will look and form depends on the individual’s genetic make-up, the type of life they lead and their weight. Strangely there are different types of cellulites and being overweight is only one of the causes of cellulite as active and fit women can also suffer and it is found in the muscles of active women such as dancers and athletes. The hard cellulites attach themselves directly to the muscle tissue and are the hardest to remove. Soft cellulites, however, are much more obvious and may even appear to sag from the skin surface and whist they occur in larger, muscle areas, they are usually easily removed.

For women, who are he most likely candidates for cellulites, their appearance can start from as early as 14 years of age and will gradually get worse as they age Often, cellulites occur because a woman has started taking the contraceptive pill or has just given birth and even people who have suffered from injuries can develop cellulites.

Thigh Cellulite...

Exercise and diet are still almost uniformly believed to be the best way to eradicate cellulites because exercise is particularly effective at improving the circulation and usually helps reduce the appearance of the cellulites. Whilst exercise is good, it works better when working in conjunction with a detoxifying diet which should include plenty of fruits and vegetables. Try to eat more wholegrain foods but avoid wherever possible the likes of coffee and soft fizzy drinks.

It is believed by some that spicy foods may contribute much in the appearance of cellulites but so far this appears to be untested and so not proved. However, the same cannot be said for smoking and alcohol which should be avoided as both help in the build-up of toxins in the body. Whilst a low fat diet is always preferably for health, reducing the intake of fatty foods helps reduce the enlargement of the cellulites because fat is harder to digest and more difficult to remove from your body.

Whilst cellulite creams have some success at preventing the cellulites formation and growth, they cannot as yet, remove cellulites from the tissue altogether. By using alpha-hydroxyl acid cream, the cellulites are made to look as if they have disappeared by making the skin more elastic whereas all the cream has done is mask the cellulites. Removing toxins and fat from the body by using water therapy which also helps with digestion and circulation, has the added benefit of aiding in the removal of cellulites.
